Are you an adventure-seeking person? Keen to spend time in the outdoors and have a laugh with your mates? Well grab your friends, family, work mates and come and join the BIG BANG adventure!
The Kapiti/Horowhenua region, with its awesome combination of rivers and mountains, is the perfect location for the BIG BANG 6 hour Adventure Race.
Adventure Racing, along with Multisport, is one of the fastest growing adventure sports. Become part of it and challenge yourselves in teams of 2 or 4. With the help of your support crew you will mountain bike, hike, navigate and complete a mystery water activity together through some of the best landscape this region has to offer. Did we mention you will get a bit muddy, potentially wet and very tired as well? BUT it will be one of the best days of your life!
You need to be fit, it is hard work, you need to have a sense of humour and you need to earn that beer, so put on your outdoor gear and join the BIG BANG Adventure!!
A massive thanks to your whole team for organizing such a brilliant event on Saturday.
My team thoroughly enjoyed it. It was so awesomely tough. There were so many great elements to it. Things that by themselves would have been cool, but put all together are just brilliant - like the rope climb up a bank carrying an inner tube.
The weather just suited it perfectly. Sliding down from CP2 was priceless. And mountain biking down that muddy track was more like skiing.
I know the sort of work that goes into planning that and I just think you guys did a brilliant job.
Well done. We are really looking forward to next year.
Can we book rain again? It really did us...
